| Good morning, FFHers! We’ve made it halfway through November and it’s been quite a week so far! Before diving into an overview of changes we’ve been working on, I want to share a couple reminders. Friday is the last day to purchase tickets for the Spooktacular Raffle! We have also decided to remove breed restrictions on tickets so that you may purchase all 4 tickets in one breed if you wish. If you’ve already purchased tickets and want to swap the breed of some tickets, please post in the Modbox and we’ll take care of it. Friday is also the deadline for claiming your FREE ticket in the FaBOOlous Beginners section as well as the last day you can turn in the scavenger hunt and word scramble contests. If you are hoping to earn free or bonus tickets for any of these things, be sure you turn them in by the deadline. Flash has been working so hard this week to catch up on a long list of projects. In addition to bug fixes and some streamlining happening behind the scenes, there’s a number of changes we’ve been sharing on the Making Magic board. Here’s a quick review in case you’ve missed any! • The Rest star has been adjusted to make it easier to understand. It will now show decline at a higher level, making it easier to tell when your horse is falling below the most ideal range. The associated race note has also been updated. • Sugar Cubes now keep Rest at consistent levels as well as Energy. They do not reset it to 100% like Energy. Their price has been adjusted to 400 PC. • Horses who placed 10th or better in Gold Cups will be eligible for World Championship Festival races this December. Placing 10th or better does not guarantee they will race, as some races end up with over 20 entries and horses may still be scratched due via the entry pool. • When new players purchase 4yo+ Horse Trader horses they will automatically max Courage and Consistency. This will make it easier for new players to get horses into races without facing DQs. • Tournaround Medallion has been updated and will now improve a horse’s Steeplechase stat genes to a minimum of average quality. Each Medallion now has 1 use. • Stallions may now be listed for the Y43 season. We have new listing fees that must be paid to stand a stallion publicly. Info on these fees can be found in the Standing a Stud page of the Handbook. • We’ve made several adjustments to the Stallion Incentive Program. Goldbloods now have identical requirements to other breeds. Bronze requires 2 MII mares and Silver requires 3 MII mares. However, Bronze eligibility has been reduced to 30 AFP with 5 foals and 28 AFP with 10+ foals. All non-SIP stallions are eligible to test again under these updates. We’ve also added new SIP icons for ‘Sophomore’ stallions with less than 10 foals. • The Golden Apple Orchard has a couple updates as well! First, there are some new items in stock. It is also now accepting fillies/mares as low as 20 potential (with Business skill) and the bonus apples for trading in fillies/mares has been increased. As a potentially limited promotion, you’ll also receive a Breeding Pass and Vigor for each filly/mare you give up. • You may now extend pasture from the main page of any horse who is currently on pasture. If you wish to keep a horse out for its entire 2yo through 3yo season to reap 4yo training benefits, you need to make sure you click this before year’s end. The same applies to broodmares you want to keep out for an additional year. Yearlings are not eligible for pasture extension. • Additional pasture benefits have been added for broodmares. They will now have lower chances of miscarriage and stillborns in the year they return from pasture. • As there have been some issues with neglecting to feed retired geldings and yearlings, we’ve made a couple small adjustments. First, horses who were not fed during a month will lose Energy at the monthly rollover. Secondly, yearling buddies who are not fed and trained will not provide any benefits to their assigned yearlings. • There are two new spooky backgrounds for sale in the Pro Shop! Boo Sheet and Once In A Blue Moon are variants of one background. (One with a costume for your horse; one without!) If you want both, you can buy them bundled in the Dejaboo item. (There may also be another background coming later this week.) • Trophies have been awarded for what feels like a bazillion series races from Y40 to present. This list includes: individual CC race winners, individual TT race winners, MSF, ES (individual and series), ISHC, BF/IF, and IQ. As all of these count toward Superior awards, they may trigger new Superior awards too. • Crystal Chalices and Hearthstones are now functional! You can open/use them from your Inventory page. |
