We’re here to celebrate Goldblood Stallions! But, not stallions you own, we’d love to hear from players about Stallions on the site that they absolutely love but don’t have in their own barn.
Perhaps they’re stallions you’ve sent multiple mares from, or stallions you always will buy foals that are related to them. We’ve all got that one pedigree that we keep coming back to, and we’d love to hear all about them! The only rule is that these Stallions not be Select Sale or Custom. Feel free to drop their links below and tell us what you love about them! | |

If you take a look through my barn you'll find that GB stallions are always my favorites. And while I have many I think one of the ones that I've gone back the most two (even though he's been recently Pensioned) is Tarvos Trigaranus. In fact...I own EIGHT Tarvos babies, and have zero regrets. They've all been fantastic runners for me (and their previous owners) and they've really given me some thrills.
Bucky and I have mingled several of our lines together and I can honestly say this is one of my favorites, especially for color! And while he may not be at stud anymore he has a lot of sons out there carrying on his legacy! |

Third time’s a charm. I’m way too tired today for thinking apparently.
After having a look through my current GB graded performers, although pensioned, the stallion Livin Without You has a strong presence in my barns. I have 2 homebred mares that are by him. The first one, Lovin Me, was very low maxing and was never transitioned to SC, but has produced 1 mare than is average but we’re hoping she improves when transitioned to SC. The other mare, My Everything, was maxed when she turned 2, but has been fabulous as a SCer - earning about $2M since she transitioned. This gal is also an EMM grandbaby. I love Livin Without You so much, that when I saw a horse by him up for lease, I jumped at the chance! Last To Leave had his best year yet. I helped get him to 52 points so far and hope I can get him a few more points before he returns home to SMF. |

It's been a very long time since I was in GB, so I have no idea on what the relevant pedigrees are these days. That said, I was always so fond of my stud The Real North, who I sold to Arturia when I got out of the breed. He was from, I think, my first or second crop. As a racer, he won a Grand Slam with ease, and retired with $16 million and 467 points. He went on to earn Gold SIP, and must have been pensioned sometime in the last few game years. Far and away the best son of a fairly rare line (his sire, Mr Lucky, only had three sons to have offspring themselves), I still think of him fondly at times. |

Finally a topic I can answer! I mainly breed in-house due to personL restrictions but when I go outside, I always take another look at a few studs. I love Prime Sable in particular, bred 3 mares to him and each foal came out better than the last. Brooklyn Brownstone was a decent mare, Pillars Of Eternity made a nice SCer and earned his SC Minor/chance at stud, and Infinite Horizons is just a superstar. She's responsible for all 4 of his WCF wins as a sire lol. |

I rarely breed out of house but I've had my eyes on Dreaming Of Soot since this past YA. I was browsing around and he caught my eye. I bought a filly by him and am very happy with my purchase so far. Will most definitely be keeping my eye on him in the future. He's fairly young and looks to be shaping into a very very nice stallion. |

Honestly, part of me misses the absolute powerhouses of Goldblood lines, but there's always a few boys I keep an eye out for when looking for racers, even geldings. Benz There is probably my absolute favorite of all. I've had a couple of his grandfoals, and even owned a grandaughter of his that was an insanely nice producer. Not only are the names a ton of fun, but the pedigree is there and I will always snatch up a Benz baby when I can. |

Although i do a lot of in house breeding for my GBs there are a few stallions i've been following and like to breed too/buy foals from. The first is Iroha i used to own this boy in his young days and sold him when i left for a while and boy did he grow up nice! After achieving his bronze plus with 5 foals on the ground he is definitely one to watch, not to mention he is absolutely beautiful!! I currently own 2 fillies from him who i adore and i plan to breed to him again this season. The other stallion i've been drooling over lately is Double Carrick Bend owned by Liberty! This silver plus boy is drop dead gorgeous and throws some pretty nice foals to date. I currently own 2 fillies from him and i adore both of them!!! I will definitely continue keeping an eye on this boy and his progeny. |

I really do think that Matters Of Art has had a lot of influence on modern goldblood lines, comparable to the likes of Gunslinger or Long Night or King Under The Mountain. Going through my horses, he comes up a lot (though maybe that's just me because I love him), and he has a fun name that makes people pay respects to their horses's roots.
A lot of my goldbloods have short lineages with custom/SS grandparents, or even if they're longer, they don't go that far back, and still end at SS great-grandparents. Matters Of Art goes all the way back to the very beginning of the site, and it's a testament to how much his lines hold out, especially because other bred-lines goldbloods tend to peter out or just aren't represented enough to be noticeable. |

This one is hard for me since I have only ever bred one GB myself and haven't really gotten myself all that invested into the breed. So I decided to approach this one a bit different and focus on the sire of one of my first and quite successful GB acquisitions and I will explain why I wish to highlight this particular stud. One of my first YA purchases was a GB colt that I then gelded since I had no plans on breeding them back then. I knew nothing about successfully training and racing 2yos back then but this gelding still flourished as a racer. He's been one of my most consistent racers having 34 starts, winning a GC and a WCF as well as earning almost $3.8 millions. So why do I mention this? Because the stud I want to highlight is this geldings sire, Neurosis, a Sugar Skull son who hasn't made much of an impact. Me highlighting him is more for nostalgic reasons than him being an amazing producer. In fact most of his foals aren't much to look at, but it is a also rather small sample size of only five foals that he has on the ground. While I don't think VF Neurosis has it in him to become the creator of a great lineage, like som studs mentioned earlier in this thread, I do think he has far more to give as a sire still... |

I’ve only been back for one game year so I have no idea what lines are the really nice one these days. But I do remember before I left, there was one horse I always had my eye on: Thu’um. I really wanted to use him for one of my mares one day if I could, but I don’t think I ever got the chance because I left. I saw a 2YO on the market today with Thu’um in her lines and I know I shouldn’t be buying new horses because I need to start saving money, but I didn’t even hesitate and pressed the button. xD |

There is one Goldblood stallion that started a particularly good line for my stable. RS Sunstrike, when bred to perhaps one of my best rescue mares (when rescue was a thing back in the day!), gave me my first ever GD. I was still so new to the game that I really didn't know much about breeding, and I fumbled quite a bit, but this line surprised me. From there, that line has produced GD or GM foals for me through his daughter, Sunbleached Bones, that have also turned out to be beautiful and for the most part, have been powerhouses on the track. Another Goldblood stallion that has captured my love is the famous James Tiberius Kirk, along with Simulacrum (who is sired by perhaps my personal favorite GB stallion Dorian Pavus-the reason for this is because Dorian was around when I first started playing the game and to see his name brings up memories of when I first began on FFH). |

Goldbloods probably have to be my favourite breed on the game, and with that comes a favourite stud.
There would have to be two BG studs that have played an influential role in helping build up some of my solid breeding mares! HIH Rambutan was the sire who produced my very first CoS mare APS Sweet Summer who’s trophy cupboard was jam packed!!! And the other stud would have to be.... Slumber The shiny created Goldblood who is actually the sire of my mare I posted in the other topic, APS Slumber Party!!! |

I have a lot of GB loves, so picking just one is hard. I am a fan of Fear For The Worst though. I don’t know if I’d say he’s my favorite of all the GB horses, but he’s certainly among them. He looks extra snazzy in his SIP blanket, but he’s got some other things going for him besides looks. he has a 34.9 overall AFP with decent grandfoal stats, for one thing. I have several descendants of him in my stable. I even own his first foal! In Times Of Fear is a filly I picked up from the YA for what seemed like an absurd price back then, but isn’t all that uncommon to me now. She earned her PD in her racing career, along with over 3 million dollars, making up for her initial investment fee. She’s produced some nice-looking foals herself as well, so how can I not like her? |

I don't really know much about particular lines or anything but I like Double Carrick Bend! I always like to see more than the bare minimum of points on a stud, in addition to that he has a touch of color and nice genes. He's currently silver+ with an average DAQ so his producer quality is probably rather good. I bred one of my GB mares to him last year and hope it will turn out nice! Also interesting to see that he was already mentioned in this thread although he doesn't seem to be one of those extremely popular studs where it's hard to get into the studbook :) |

This one is old, but I really love Billy The Kid . Though I didn't have much luck with colts from him, I have several great mares from his lines. |

I'm pretty new to the GB breeding scene, but one of my favorite stallions is Moves Like Jager! I was originally hooked when Waylon brought home one of his daughters, Shehasthemoves. She was a great racehorse and a lovely broodmare. Eventually, I brought home my own grandson,Moves Like Mine just by chance. Bought him for cheap as a 2yo, didn't think he'd amount to much but he quickly became my favorite, and the most talented horse in my barn - becoming one of my first major race winners and my very first CoS. I've collected a few other Jager descendants over the years and they have all been game little runners. Dusknoir is another close runner-up because he's the maternal half-brother to one of my other favorite race mares. I haven't been able to breed to him, unfortunately, and his YA babies quickly went out of my price range - but I was able to buy a couple of good broodmare prospects from the sales and I'm looking forward to running and breeding them! |

He may not be the best stud out there, but many of my earliest favorites were by Maximus Prime. His foal Going Primal was my very first special race winner, winning a gem and a GC as a 2yo. I had another great runner from him, and then sent my very first and favorite created GB mare to him for a couple babies. This line influenced my love of GBs and is still going in my barn, with the 4th generation coming next year. |

So for no reason in particular it’s Mad Boy Zax that stands out for me,, he might not of given me the silver but he game me the filly the Mad Queen that did very well I the track and then she gave me the filly Dark Queen of Hell that did even better on the track and has just been retired to the breedi;g shed herself, looking forward to the 4 th generation from him next year. |
