To participate in this little contest, all you need to do is share the yearling you're most excited about! You should include a link to their page (<*a href="URL">Name<*/a> without the *s or just click the horse ID button) and a paragraph description of why they're a favorite. Maybe they have an incredibly promising pedigree, excellent genes, or are a color you love!

Then, visit the barn of the person who posted above you and pick out one of their yearlings you admire. Be sure to include a link as well as a description of what makes this yearling stand out in a crowd.

Be sure to use line breaks in your post with <*br /> (without the *) so that it doesn't all run together. Everyone who follows all directions will earn a ticket into the anniversary raffle. You may only enter once!

This was so difficult to decide. I honestly am excited for all my yearlings. But I am going to go with Zinging With Joy since she was officially my first homebred foal. She was also my very first GM earning homebred as well. So there are a lot of firsts for her. She is by a bronze SIP sire so I am keeping my fingers crossed that she turns out like I hope. She has a lot going for her in the genetics department.

My favorite yearling from Zadie Creek Stables is Mint Mocha. He is just a cutie! I love the duns. And he has a silver SIP sire. And his dam line has so many strong silver SIP stallions as well. So he really looks amazing on paper. And you add in his GM worthy genetics and he is just drool worthy. As an added bonus, I love the name! My favorite coffee drink is peppermint mocha. This one is going places!

POETS Famous Bad Day
This Colt excites me alot due to his Sire being Peerless. Even though this colt does not have great genes but he sure has a Gilt Hoof which may help him in the Races a little more. Also him being a Bay Roan makes me love him. He sure is something special to me.

BWR Roan And Fly Away
This GB Colt has a outstanding Pedigree, great Genes and a GD, i sure admire Marina for this Colt. He sure is something and hopefully will do well in the races. Maybe in the Future i will use him to breed if i get a chance. He sure is something Special! Thats probebly why i bought a partnership previously on him hehehe

I have quite a few foals this year I'm exited about but over all I think I'd have to choose Lilac Galaxy A Lilac colt. His genetics are not amazing but I just love his color. His mother is a SS Mare so I'm hoping he at least maxes well and makes a good racer and maybe breeder in the future.

My favorite yearling from Poets Secrets is Famous Bad Day He has great stat genes and I love roans. I would bet that he does well in the future in racing because his linage is pretty good. I find his name kinda funny.

VF Bright Inception
VF Bright Inception is the only yearling I picked up from the YA. Not only does he boast gorgeous color, but his genetic distinction makes him a promising stallion prospect for the future. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does as he starts his training next year, and hopefully he'll bring home some nice wins for me.
DRK Legendary Lightning
This colt is one of the most gorgeous horses I have ever seen. I've always been a sucker for a double cream. His sire looks to be a good performance producer, so I hope to see this yearling live up to his lineage and bring home the bacon.

Moontide not only has my favorite name, but also just my best overall foal this year. I am excited for her cream yes, but what I am most excited for with her is her genetics and potential to be amazing G1 horse based on her genetics. I am also excited because her pedigree shows amazing lineages to me. Overall she has just been my favorite because pretty horse and good genes haha.

Intercession is my favorite from Echo Valley Equestrian! I am a sucker for dark bays, and not only that but her genetics are fairly decent. Not to mention her name is something I just love the sound of haha. Pretty horses with cool or interesting names, or even funny names, get me a lot of the time!

I will always rave about Reawakenings and not just because he's a pretty grulla boy. His pedigree is a Who's Who in my barn, the crème de la crème, and breeding the very best to the breeding best hasn't failed me yet! His sire Canticle Of Threnodies is a Platinum sire whose parents are both Seals of Pedigree and his grandsire is none other than the legendary Platinum+ sire Dorian Pavus. His dam The Wondersmith is a Peerless champion by Platinum+ sire Son Of Thunder whose dam is a Seal of Pedigre and whose sire is another TFE great in Platinum+ sire James Tiberius Kirk. Reawakenings' female family has given me nothing but elite runners, top producers, and top sires. He sure has a lot riding on his little grulla shoulders.

I'm such a sucker for black horses, and a horse with California in the name? Hello, gorgeous Explicitly California. What a beautiful colt with such a promising future. I wish for nothing but the very best for his racing (and perhaps a future stud) career!

The yearling Im most proud of is Satemi! Lord Satemi he is a dream come true. The color Im striving for and his genes are not horrible! I am going to love racing him and making him a big part of my future breeding plans of all black and black and white racers in all the breeds! Dreams do come true here on FFH
oh how can I choose one from Fifths barns!! They have a collection I can only dream of. Something to work hard towards! Everyone of Fifths yearlings are just top notch. I will try to choose one from them all.
Wuyi Mountains how csn he be any nicer! Black snd a STB!! I cant wait for him to hit the track and then the shed! Ice already have him favored as I have mares to send him too. He is going to help bring black STBs to the front of the racing game!

I'm not sure this filly is my most exciting yearling, but she was certainly the most surprising! She was earmarked as a sale prospect before she was born, and I don't care for flashy colours so as a Bay Roan, I figured she was a surefire for the YA. I can't argue with her most obvious wild roll on the genetics however! Brisk Intrigue will be staying and I can't wait to see how she turns out; if nothing else, she has a gorgeous pedigree.

It's so hard to choose from Irish Acres's gorgeous selection of yearlings, but Mayday Code jumped right out; maybe not the most obvious, but I love her sire, she's got a fabulous name, she's cute as heck, and she's bringing some real solid genetics to the table to kickstart her race career. What a great find!

It doesn’t really matter who you pick out in my stable, chances are I can explain to you a reason they’re really sentimental to me (at least.. if I bred them instead of impulse buying them, but I don’t do that often). The same is true for my yearlings because most of them go back to at least one of my true loves on FFH, and they’re often incredibly hard to let go of in sales/auctions because of this. Heart’s Refusal is one of those that I considered selling, and then decided I couldn’t (hence her name XD). She’s the first born daughter of Heart Pawn (who my mom named) and who is also the first born daughter of my forever love Heart Spawn, whose racing speaks for itself. But more than being a great racer, she also produced three peerless in a row, and her last born colt, while probably not peerless looks like he’ll he a decent potential. Heart’s Refusal’s sire is nothing to scoff at either, he made bronze with less than 10 foals (6) and is the son of Heaven’s Light (a very big name in my GB barn) who is a tested AA producer, although he never made higher than silver SIP. This gal has a verified blood type, nice genes, and with any luck will take on the mantle of greatness from her ancestors. (Me competently racing her would probably help).

Of DragonFyre’s yearlings, I think I’m going to praise Cathedral Of Trees. Names are a large part of how I pick out partnerships, and her name was one of several that attracted me in the yearling barn at BlackAsh Yard. Of those I looked at, I’m choosing her because I think she’s got a lot to her! Her dam actually seems to have some lines that are unusual to me, I don’t see them often (this might be the first time I have seen them), and I’m always super excited to discover new family trees from older times. Paladin Prophecy, when looking at his pedigree, has a lot of big names in it though, so this girl has a lot of greatness in her distant ancestry for sure. The same is true for Blushing Maiden. Her sire is still unproven in the breeding shed, but the cross doesn’t seem shabby at all, and has produced a filly with nice genes and hopefully a great potential. And the gilt eye is striking on this filly. I wish her the best of luck with her career, both as a racer and a future broodmare.

This girl is my favorite homebred yearling of Y52! She is beautiful with her golden bay look and gorgeous paint markings, but most of all those lovely golden hooves. Turf versatile with, if I do say so myself, impressive genetics. I can hardly wait to see what this girl can do on the racetrack(s). She will most definitely have a dedicated workout buddy.

A Little Extra Heaven
is my favorite yearling of Lightning V Estate (might be too slow and not the person "right" above me). This girl is gorgeous and I'm a sucker for roan! She also has very very nice genetics and a solid line in pedigree. I will be watching for her on the track :)

"RAGN A Taste Of Insanity"
This colt is my first silver dun from my Platinum SS stallion, Yoggy. His dam is also one of my best racers I owned-she won every single Series race I put her in until she retired! (and she was an auction purchase!). I had high hopes when I crossed these two together, as it was the dam's last foal (she was very nice and gave me two rare colored babies back to back!), and I am extremely excited to see how he maxes and if he goes well on the track. I hope he can do as well as his mother, and if not, then I hope he does as good as his dad in the breeding shed!

LVE Glory In The Fall
I had a few yearlings I wanted to love on from Light Shock's stable, but the one that stood out to me was the paint colt above. He has Select Sale heritage AND his sire is an awesome producer and a Superior Stallion. It's too bad he didn't get any color from his mother but he hopefully will be a decent racer for Shock in the future!

He's easy to miss but the yearling I'm most excited for is RHF Night Wolf . His pedigree isn't half bad but I've had an extremely good feeling about his sire. Gene wise he did well even if he is a plain little grey guy.

TOR Stormy Clouds im a fool for bay to tobianos and not only that shes got some impressive genes. Her pedigree is pretty good too. I wish Totsy the best with her in the coming seasons.

CLOUD The Boy In The Band would have to be the yearling I’m most excited for this year. His Sire was my first ever custom goldblood and one of the first horses I ever raised to PM which I am very proud of. His Dam was one of the first goldblood mares I ever bought and raced. She never reached PM herself but she has wonderful genes and has previously produced a colt foal who went on to win several series races- making CLOUD The Boy In The Band a half brother to a series race champion. He might not be the most exciting colt in the world to look at, but I adore him and I hope he manages to inherit his fathers talent and that winning edge his mother can clearly produce haha!

The yearling I liked most from Roan Hill Farm was RHF Tuff Angel , not only is this filly utterly stunning to look at, but she has an excellent pedigree and has been very well bred. She is more than deserving of her genetic merit. She is complete quality and I have no doubt she will be an asset to her breeder/owner, especially if she is retained for her racing career. She has been doing quite decently at colour shows as well and is sure to have her colour merits soon. She is an outstanding filly that Roan Hill Farm should be very proud to have bred.

I’m excited about Xtant. He’s by a BAYOU bred stud out of a BAYOU bred mare. This boy has already earned 61 color points as a yearling! I had some regrets when I sold his sire, so I’m very happy to have his bloodlines back with this boy! Xtant have nice perf genes and I’m hoping he has a bit better potential than his stats would indicate.

The yearling from Cloud Gate Racing that stood out to me, I’ll admit was simply for the name - Siamese Cat. I love grey horses, and I miss the Siamese cat I had as a kid. I didn’t even notice he was by one of my studs until just now! I love his dam’s name as well since it’s used as slang for skunks here in my area. Let’s hope this boy doesn’t end up skunky and does well for Kite.

Double The Honey is the yearling I'm most excited for - not only does she have colour, but her visible genes are incredible for a Standardbred! She has a wonderful pedigree as well, with every stallion in it listed as an 'A' grade and Silver & Bronze SIP horses on her sire's side. I don't really have any strong emotional connections to her dam because of her being a lease, but I'm very glad I picked her up when I did - with luck, this filly will help me further and improve my STB bloodlines once her career is over!

My favourite yearling from Bayou Moon Stables is Lost Cherry! I adore minimally-marked roans (especially on a strawberry roan base!) and both her stat and performance genes look very nice :D

Working My Way To The Top is my current favorite yearling. She's a STB, which is my current obsession/focus. She's cute as heck, and she's a homebred! The A grade sires in her pedigree give me hopes for her breeding future, and although she isn't the greatest genetically, I'm crossing my fingers to give her a promising future on the track as well!
My favorite from Ex Altiora would have to be A Zilver Kiss. Even though I'm not as in to thoroughbreds as I was when I first started FFH, there is just something classy about a bay with chrome! Even with all the "C" grade studs in his pedigree, he looks nice genetically and can still have a very successful racing career!

This was such a hard choice but I think the yearling I'm most looking forward to the future of is my first ever Import who I was able to nab in the Yearling Auction, Dino Might. She may not be a flashy color but her genes are amazing for a STB and I'm so excited to have been able to get her my first year in STB!
Tango Racing has some nice yearlings but one that stuck out to me is Spirit Trot! By the import stallion Silken Spirit and out of a mare by import stallion Trot To It, Spirit Trot has two very nice stallions in his pedigree and should mature into a nice distance trotter! With the added bonus of color, this colt is sure to grab eyes as he matures!

My favorite yearling this year is my PH fillyBURN Cheesecake Fantasy. Her sire is ZC Brandied Brulee, a LEGENDARY son of my TB stud BURN He's Unwritten. That would make her special enough, but her DAM is BURN The Sweetest Song, out of BURN Mutants On Key out of BURN Singing Valentine out of SS mare Sings The Tune - ie she is out of my most cherished TB dam line ever. I had sold her to Titan when getting out of TBs literal rl years ago, and she was kind enough to sell her back to me recently. I can't tell you how excited I was to breed this beautiful filly, or how happy I am to be able to include THIS dam line of all dam lines in my stock ponies. ;_________;

In Acernus Acre's barn, I really like CDR Escape From The Clouds. This pretty TB filly has a lot of great stuff in her sire line in particular - she even goes back to my SS stud Blood And Sand! She has one of my fave paint markings, and her perfs look great. That O dev in particular will give her a chance to shine on the racetrack as a 2yo, and the O temp means she might not refuse to saddle train 11 times like some yearlings I could mention! And dual surface is just *chef's kiss*, so that she'll have double the races to choose from. Excellent things in store for this filly!

My favorite yearling this year is my GB colt The Golden Truth. He's no color bomb like some of my others, but he has a stellar pedigree. His sire Arcana Imperii is a tested AA stallion who made it to Silver SIP. But his dam line is where he shines even brighter. He is the first foal of his dam I Aint Dun Workin', but his grandam I Aint Dun Needlin' was a solid broodmare and is the daughter of Needle. Needle is the source of the damline for my flagship stallion Matters Of The King, who's sons have had a massive influence on my stable, and the great broodmare Beautiful Lagoon. To say that I am thrilled so far with the combination of these lines is an understatement.
In Phoenix Rising's barn I fell in love with Doom Of Old. His genes may be a little lacking but his pedigree is phenomenal. Especially for a STB. And a little color never hurt nobody. His sire Silver On The Horizon is a legendary SS stallion, and his dam BURN The Stars Might Lie has another F conformation foal who is maxing well. Both her sire and damsire are A grades and have solid records. I'm really hoping this guy gets the chance to live up to his wonderful pedigree!

Choosing a favourite yearling was easier than it should've been. Well almost. I got three wonderful yearlings from the auction this year, including one who has turned into a stallion prospect. But my own standout is Double The Poison. She was my first homebred, and is out of a very special mare to be. Her dam was a mare I bought when I was getting back into this game and I adored her. She ran well.. or paced I guess, and when she retired I patiently kept her around so that I could breed. Her genes aren't by far the best, her colouring isn't anything special, but it's the sentiment. Two Bushels (her dam) was one of the biggest reasons I played the sim back in Y47. I imagine this girly will do the same for me now when I lose motivation.

My favourite yearling from Two Doves Creek hands down has to be Hold Onto Silly. I absolutely love the standardbreds, and his colour is to die for. I mean who doesn't love a bay roan. Digging deeper, his genes are incredible. In my short breeding career, I don't see many standardbreds with that good of genes. It could just be that I haven't seen many, but I was genuinely shocked when I saw his. 4/6 outstanding on stat genes is something I could only dream of. His performance genes look great too! I can't wait to see how this guy does when racing, if his stat and performance genes have anything to say about it, I think he'll do great. Honestly if he stays intact, I'd love to breed a mare to him in the future. Good luck with him, that's for sure!

While I have no homebred yearlings of my own due to only just returning to the game, I managed to pick up a couple geldings from the year 52 yearling auction, and Everything But Dun is the one I am most looking forward to racing. He is born from a B grade sire and an SS dam, and is my best year 53 2yo racing prospect as he is excellent for speed and is almost dual surface with a preference for dirt. He has only two fair genes with the rest being good or above (exception of a poor in stamina), and I think he can do very well during his younger racing years. When he retires he'll make a very fine addition to my growing collection of buddies!
Looking through Notabet Racing's stable, Flamingo Show is the yearling that I like the most. With an outstanding in speed and excellent development he is a very good 2yo racing prospect, and his sire has produced three offspring which got a PM with one even getting a PD, so this yearling has a chance of getting a PM before running out of longevity if he ends up racing well. It will be interesting to see how well he maxes and what he grades upon retirement, but even if he ends up being gelded he could make a fantastic money earner and buddy when he retires!

As always I love all my yearlings and they can do no wrong (yet). However, I want to highlight Reign Of A Knight as she is the first second generation NART horse in my stable. Her dam was arguably the best of my first wave of bred foals (as I ramped up from about 5 to 10 foals a year) and I am excited that she is leading the next generation. She is also part of my efforts to build a Stock string out of some of my TB lines so that's another reason I think she is special.
Looking through the Silver Haven Stable, my eye was drawn to Little Belief. While he can't choose a favourite surface and some of his genes are alright, his sire is an A-graded Select and he has probably my favourite Overo pattern. I have more than a little belief that he will do nicely!

My favourite yearling this year is Lach Lan Afterparty ! I'm finally getting into my own lines and this guy is from one of my most successful ones; this guy has a GD that hopefully helps him help his sire finally get his Bronze SIP. He didn't get his dams champagne, but as he's palomino there's still hope he's carrying silver and i'm already very fond of him and his continuing of my very punny names :)

Another palomino with a nice name is nartaylors Eire Rational ! With some well bred goldblood genes with a sprinkle of SS this awesome filly is outstandingly speedy and well conformed and should definitely have the potential to be a competitive NARGB :) Blue eyes and pink noses are one of my favourite combinations!

My favorite this year is Sun's Tears. He is from one of my favorite line, descendant of my very first SS stallion Epic Win and one my best imports Time to Target. And he is the first in my stable to get Color Merit as yearling! I don't really breed for color, so this is huge for me! I hope he turns up as good as his parents, and maybe gets a Color Distinction.

It was really hard to choose one from many great yearlings of Southern Star Station, but the one that really caught my eye is Alestormme. A beautiful Gold filly with Grade A sire, Platinum Grandsire and SS dam? That's a jewel of any stable! And her genes look very nice, she definitely has a bright future ahead. Hope she will breed a colorful foals like her father, two champs from three foals is insane color luck.

I find it so hard to pick favourites, I love them for different reasons. Some because they are striking, others because I am so curious to see what they will grow up to do, and yearlings from my very first horses in the game, the list goes on. So, I am going to pick a sentimental horse to me. He is from two impressive imports and was a wonderful Christmas surprise. He is a dark bay STB yearling with really awesome genes. I feel like he has a wonderful future ahead of him. I could not ask for more! I hope he can carry on both his sire and dam's lines. Meet The Dullahan.

The Dullahan

Lilac Moon

So this was so difficult to choose, there are so many quality yearlings in White Night Acre's barns. But I just had to choose this gorgeous fae girl. What a rare treat to have! I can only dream to have a fae like this one day. Lilac Moon is not only pretty but she also has good genes and an amazing pedigree too! She is also raking up the colour show points as well! I just have to say that her name is absolutely fitting and I hope she brings you so much joy!

My favorite foal this year is Twilight Symphony because I noticed something interesting about her! Her dam is blood type III-V and I bred her to a cloaked stallion, but when she was born she was not "cloaked line" like I had expected. Her sire is now blood type I, so I think that's the effect of Goldmancer's Lexicon used on a pensioned stud? I am a little concerned the potential I x V cross has impacted her potential negatively, but genetically she looks stunning and I love that she inherited roan. Really curious to see her grow up.

Out of Panik's yearlings, I really like Want To See My Claws. His dam is a very colorful SS mare won as a prize during the Y50 celebrations, that's really special. She is homo for roan so naturally he inherited it as well, and roan looks great with his dark bay coat underneath! He is almost flawless genetically and is dual surface which is so useful to have in a goldblood. The chosen sire is peerless and was an extremely successful racer with a lot of trophies on his shelf, a performance distinction and over 11 mill in earnings. With some luck he managed to pass on his talent to his son, I'm excited to see how he will do on the track!

Of my current yearling team I have high hopes for my Goldblood filly named She's All The Vibe

Was lucky enough to secure the services of an "A" graded sire in the form of Camellia Sinensis from the Ad Astra Per Aspera stud and put him with my injury plagued mare Over A Vibe, a mare that spent time in the pasture and rehabilitated before breeding. Her only offspring to hit the race track is doing okay and has me excited about She's All The Vibe's racing career. Hopefully she can become a stable star once her racing days begin.

One visits the Lonlon Farm yearling barns and it is just wall to wall potential and I was spoiled for choice as I looked over Dyana's crop.
I settled on the stunning looking Goldblood colt by the name of Razor Fang

This proud supposedly chestnut colt is coated in shades of creams and whites with a seemingly golden hue and on looks alone will be a horse to watch. Looking at his genetics you see he has achieved his Genetic Merit and those genes match his stunning good looks. He is out of an A grade sire Fangs N Bones and his mare was the lightly raced Rasa, a mare that already has a winner on the track. Everything points to Razor Fang being a very competitive racehorse, and I will follow his career with interest.

How do I even choose? I was blessed with a strong crop this year and I'm excited about all yearlings in my barn. But one that maybe stands out is Soul's Journey. I was instantly struck with her when she was born and I think she may have the makings of a champion. We'll see!

The Dark Stone looks like a good one for the barn above! It's still very rare to get GM stock horses (from what i've seen) given that they're a fairly recent addition to the game from what I can tell. Hopefully this handsome lad will get make his owner proud!

This year, I am most excited for Warrior Kitten! He is a sweet little chestnut Goldblood, out of my mare Klassy Kitten and White Dove Farm's The Warpaint Kid. Klassy Kitten was likely one of the first Goldbloods I purchased, and she surprised me by winning a gold cup at the age of 3, despite having a total potential of 22. I spent a little extra to get her a breeding to Legendary Producer The Warpaint Kid - Warrior Kitten is her first foal!

From Rusher Stables, Crayon Man caught my eye. He is a third generation stock yearling - 100% paints on the sire's side, and 100% quarter horses on the dam's side. While I think this is becoming more common, it's still unusual not to see TBs in the lineage! He has a Grade B sire and damsire (bronze SIP!), and a stellar sire pedigree. He's mod/mod, but that shouldn't stop him from achieving great things, especially if trained on turf.

I have to say Acanthus is the one I am most excited for this year, as he is my first foal whose parents are both my own SS horses! His sire is a newer stud who just made Bronze SIP with 8 foals on the ground - I am so excited to see how they grow up! His dam is one of my favorite SS mares I've had, running beautifully on the track, and this foal is her seventh and last baby for me. While his genes aren't outstanding, his pedigree shows a lot of promise, and he shows a lot of promise for the future! It's gonna take me a while to finally settle on a name for this guy!

While I know color isn't everything, there is a lot to like about Orinetta's yearling Giovanni's Command! A stunning red dun colt with really nice genes (peep those stat genes omg!), Giovanni's Command is the first and only (so far) foal sired by Blues Command, a Grade A sire with a performance distinction and 7 trophies on his shelf. His dam is a beautiful select sale mare with genes to match. I am really excited to see how this colt turns out - congrats to Orinetta for breeding this gorgeous guy!

Project Monarch is probably my favorite this year -- it's so hard to pick just one! However, I always have better luck with fillies, and this is my favorite dam lines. Squall Lines was one of my first horses, Ghidorah was one of my first GDs (plus a nice racer!), but Ghidorah didn't have many fillies...so I'm hoping Project Monarch is the one! Plus, she has a cool name, PLUS she's champ, so... I'm crossing all my fingers and toes she follows in Squall Lines' hoofsteps.

Now, Fish Kisses has one of the cutest names! Never mind I'm a sucker for anything fish related, but what a cute, cute grey with his four white socks. Looks aren't everything, of course; I'm also intrigued by his lineage. It's not a common one, but it's filled with grade A and B studs, and I think finding a diamond in the rough can be quite exciting. It adds variety to the breeding pool, too! His perfs look great, and given he's O for stamina, I don't think the fair dev will really hamper him. I feel like he could be a real contender for the trinities in a few years, and I'm excited to watch and see how he does!

My favorite yearling this year is Twilight Rose. She's out of a daughter of my favorite broodmare and one of the first SS Stock Mares Mar Vell. While her genes aren't the best I hope she can live up to the family legacy that her dam and aunts and uncles have been able to establish, and hopefully run in a series race or 2 like her dam did.

Afterlife Outlaw, Is one from Coyote Run that I really really like. She has an amazing pedigree and genetics with her sire being Kistler Farm bred Ghostly Revolution who was a successful racer and is in turn sired by Platinum Stallion Golden Ghost. Im also a sucker for grey and im excited to see how she greys out.

Tough one, I rarely visit my yearlings. So the one that sparked the most joy this year for me must be Smoochin' Black, because look at her cute face! Not only does she have my favorite snip marking on a pretty blue roan coat, she also earns color points like none of my other yearlings. 56 points already, I think that's the highest I ever got on a yearling. She also goes back to almost all ROAR-lines (or RZ-lines, as they were back then), including back to all my created customs Nachtmahr, Nuitari, Schnute and Mera Tabitha ♥

In Molly's barn I spied some familiar names as well, but then noticed a sire name I was eyeing myself a couple times in the past and was not disappointed to find YOTE Eyed By Evil! A pretty grey colt by SS sire Nazar and amazing genes; dual surface, O/O versatile(!), EOEGG performance genes and almost all-E stat genes. I am assuming he was in the YA, so he will surely be a series prospect for Molly next year!

I have been lucky to pick up a few nice yearlings, so this was not easy. However, my favourite yearling right now is: BTR Duene
I was so pleased to win him in the YA and thank his breeder for listing him. I was drawn to him for his genetics and pedigree. He has, what I consider to be, some superb, proven horses behind him. He also had gilt hooves and is a fancy colour! I recently gained the colour show skill, so that is an added bonus for me to have a go at with him. I really hope I can do his ancestors justice by training and racing him well. I am still building the quality of my barn and hope that when I gain the breeding skills he will contribute to my own line on FFH.

Edited because myself and Raz posted around the same time, so Molly had 2 replies and Raz had missed out!

What an impressive crop of yearlings can be found in the Roaring Red Stable. I have picked out: ROAR Soul of the North. Interestingly the yearling I had picked out from Molly (#3427) barn was also bred by Raz! I love the name of this filly: a super combination of her parent's names. Her SS sire looks to have produced some very useful offspring and the dam line includes some impressive racers and producers. She's a pretty girl, doing well in her colour shows and looks to have some very useful performance and stat genes. I wish her all the best and will watch out for her in the series races :)

The yearling I would say I'd be most intrigued about is Crunch Cereal, he is a beautiful coal black tovero colt! I don't have many toveros and he's a welcome addition. He is sired by Valor Neto, a stud that was born at Speedy Dreams and was sold as a yearling in the Sept auction. His sire has climbed to great heights, especially this year sporting 53 AFP. His dam also has one foal of racing age and it to looks to be easily maxing in the 40+ range. While he didn't get Amber from his dam, he's beautifully striking as is and has big shoes to fill!

Storm's most promising bred yearling is Duende, a bay roan colt sired by Wolf's Quest. His pedigree is backed by Select Sale horses up close and one of my sires DREAM Taste For Gold makes an appearance in his third generation! His sire has not made SIP yet he does stand at the prestigious Lucky Shot Racing owned by Titan, so I wouldn't count him out just yet! Trailing his pedigree in the third generation is Platinum Sire+ Like The Rain and even more SS breeding in the back pocket. Duende boasts Excellent performance genes across the board which should give him a hoof up on the track. I hope Duende fulfills his promise to be a star!

The yearling I'm most excited about this year is going to have to be Tropical Waters! She has the greatest stat genes of any of my yearlings, and considering she's from my first ever yearling crop, I consider her a huge win for my stable. I almost exclusively breed for speed so I can race my horses young, and with her Excellent speed she'll be a massive help in furthering my own lines. Her dam is a 43 Potential Horse Trader mare, and she improves upon almost all of her dam's stats. I can't wait to get my next foal from this line! Her sire is Keep Me Warm and his current AFP is 36 with 19 foals, making him bronze SIP!

The yearling from Dream's stable that I most admire is Mythic Loot! Not only is he Amber (and absolutely gorgeous), but his sire is a platinum SIP stud with a staggering AFP of 47.5 with 24 foals on the ground! He's 100% SS lined, and it definitely shows in his genes! 2Os and 3Es in his Perfs and nearly solid Es in his stats (the G is made up for with an O) it's likely that he'll be a beast both on the track and in the breeding shed! I'll be adding him to my favourites so I can keep a close eye on him!

The yearling I am most excited about is Wishing For Equality! She is the last foal out of one of my Thoroughbred mares who holds a special place in my heart, Azequality. My homebred mare's first two foals ended up being peerless mares and her 2YO colt is maxing well also. While Wishing For Equality is nothing flashy with a bland grey coat, I do love my greys and especially those with nice pedigrees. She is by Titan's stud, Wishing For Space, who is a gold SIP stud with a 45 AFP so I am hoping I have another great foal from my beloved mare. While she might have some big shoes to fill compared to her eldest half sister, For Equality, I am hopeful and paying close attention to her development as we reach the end of this game year! I'd love for my mare to end up one more amazing foal to continue her legacy.

My favorite yearling from GM's barn is Mordecai, a gorgeous Buckskin Thoroughbred colt! Mordecai is a beautiful boy who is 62% select, with SS genes on both sides of the family. His sire was formerly a silver SIP stud and has had 11 GM and 1 GD babies, indicating some nice genes have been passed along to his offspring. His dam is by a SS silver SIP stud whose AFP is 36, giving her color and great potential that seems to have been passed down to both of her foals. This little guy also already has some consistency and courage points so hopefully as a 2YO he will flourish with those and his speed genes in big 2YO races!

The yearling I am most excited for is probably Osgiliath Shall Not Fall. His sire is my first horse to win more than one Trinity race and his dam is my first Trinity Tiara winner. His sire was also the last foal of Winning Take Off, who l got from the rescue forever ago when that was a thing. And his dam came from a free breeding giveaway. Even though she didn't get any color, she's been a great racer. Both parents have their PD and his sire is my first ever platinum. He's a cute dark bay colt and with his genes, I'm hoping he'll do just as well as both of his parents on the racetrack and eventually in the breeding shed.

The yearling from MK’s stable that I’m excited for is another dark bay colt. Sweet Sinner is a TB with the cutest sabino marking. Plus his genes are amazing! Not only is he dual surfaced but he's also extremely versatile! He is definitely going to give the others a run for their money. Both parents only got PMs but l can see him getting a PD easily. I'd mention that it would make him a better stud but with those genes, he won't have any trouble getting ladies. He's got some wonderful SS in his pedigree and l hope he gets some of their wonderful producer quality!

Oh boy, I'm excited about a lot of my yearlings this year! But one that really stands out is Leonis. I am absolutely in love with his colour, and he is the first baby by my gorgeous SS mare Luina. Even more important to me is that I absolutely ADORE his sire, Shadowsinger, who produced one of my favourite mares I've ever bred -- she went on to produce two Peerless babies herself! So, overall, this lovely colt has a lot of promise, both as a racer for this generation and potentially a sire for the next.

From Liberty's barn, I must say I'm in looooove with NLS Mythical Dreams! He's got it all: colour, an amazing SS x SS pedigree, dual surfaces, and fantastic perf and stat genes. I will definitely be following him to see what comes of his career!

It was my first year of breeding so I only had 5 foals. I wanted to pick my only girl but she just wasn't as appealing as my final choice! I love my black colt BHH Glitzy Colors not only because I think he is my best looking yearling but also because he has the best stat and performance genes. While he may not be the most glamorous of the season I have hope that he will pass his color to off spring later in life. https://flyingforhome.com/horse.php?horse=232490

Of the Yearlings I found in National Liberty's "keep" stable, I like NLS King Bagdemagus the best. I am a big buckskin fan and find his coloring very dreamy and mysterious with the black mane and tail. While his performance genes are decent his stat genes make me melt into a big puddle of envy. All outstanding gives me the shivers and so I hope to have one of his babies sometime later in life! https://flyingforhome.com/horse.php?horse=234712&sort=&stable=2073

It’s so difficult picking just 1 I’m excited for as there is always so many… whether they impress or disappoint come the new year is a whole different matter lol

The Yearling I’m most excited about this year would be Hazard A Thought whom is in my Import STB stud, Shodan’s first crop and also happens to be my first SS STB mare’s first foal so as you may very well understand… there is a lot of pressure on this little guy!
Not just his pedigree that makes me hopeful but his genetics have set him up nicely and he’s also a Lovely colour and GM to boot!
So hopefully his Halo doesn’t slip at the beginning of Yr53 and he become the devil!

After having a sneak peek at Nonamie’s yearling barn I think the one that pulls my eye and whom I’ve been drawn to the most would be Ivan Of Wasa. More so because his performance genes aren’t horrible, but he’s got a strong foundation of Stamina Dirt aptitude!
He MAY have a bit of a temper problem but with a bit of time and patience I believe he’ll be a great little money earner, especially with a somewhat notable and stellar sireline!

This was tough! I decided to go with Change In Faith because he's the first GD I've ever bred- and in my first crop too! He's a looker- and may the FFH gods let him escape the GD curse!

Leecee's barn has a ton of nice yearlings, but I decided to mention Vibrant Lullabies. He's absolutely stunning, is raking in color points, and has some fantastic genes. He'll be one to keep an eye on, for sure!

Out of my yearlings, I'm absolutely most excited over Not Enough Carrots. She's cute, she's the first GM out of my HT stud that *barely* eeked out his PM before forced retirement (this was due to a few game years of being away and therefore had to bring him back to racing soundness, so I'm proud I even achieved that), and she's got such promising genes- dual vers, and overall shining across the board. Her name is a pun on carrots being a source of vitamin A which is essential for healthy eyes, but her dam's name is Blind Sun, so blind = not enough vitamin a = not enough carrots!

Kera has one of my homebreds which I'm excited to keep an eye on, but I'd like to mention Lucky Winter. I'm not as familiar with STBs, but I know they're not as established and genetically the standard is lower than with TBs or GBs, but I think she's definitely one worth keeping an eye out for. She's got such a cute name, a solid pedigree, pretty nice genes, and also she's colorful! What is there not to love? Maybe one of her babies will sway me back over to STBs one day!

I've been quite happy with my yearlings this year, but I do have to say I have a soft spot for Magic Cat. Whilst he may not be a flashy colour, he is one of my first genetic merits. He's looking like he's going to be quite promising, and I do absolutely love running my goldbloods. Not to mention I think his name is quite cute, and I do have to love the theme pretty much all his sire's foals have.

Lark has a lot of nice yearlings, but I think I'm going to have to mention Elegant Quartz. A plain baby, but she looks like she's going to pack a punch on the racing track. Some fantastic genetics that I can see, love a dual vers filly. I quite like her pedigree too, as it looks likes she's got a nice mix of horses in there. I think you're going to have to keep an eye on this one Lark, might come steal her!

I'm back after a long break, so was happy to pick up some nice auction yearlings. However, my fav I think came after the auction with the purchase of RF Holy Bees. His dam has produced a couple of earners and his sire is new but promising. Also always a sucker for greys obviously. I think he's going to be a great runner and hopefully a lovely sire for me.

Above me is Hellhound who also has an (unrelated) holy boy in HG Holy Sunday. His sire's two runners are fantastic, and his dam is just getting started but is well bred. Again this guy is a lovely grey, with super potential and I can't wait to see how he runs (and also what his fee is when he retires!)

Elevation - goodness gosh I hope this colt turns out nice. I think this is only the second champagne I've ever bred, and my last one came out at like 12 potential (but still made it to stud, do I have a stubbornness problem or is my little horse just tough? You'll never know) so I just can't help but be excited about this one? He really ticks all my boxes - GM, super pedigree, this mare is one I gave away when I quit and was extremely fortunate to be able to get back, I just desperately hope his potential lives up to the hype. He's also, uh, extremely pretty, so I'm very pleased on the off chance I remember to actually look at his picture lmao.

Voodoo Stardiver - I did a real double take when I saw the dam of this one, as I picked the mare out a couple of years ago to lease as a broodmare and still have the resulting foal, who is quietly one of my favourites. I always love coming across horses that relate to my pedigrees or pedigrees that I've taken an interest in like this one, sometimes I don't have time or forget to go around and have a geez at what is related to what, or has produced what since I last looked so stumbling upon them is a favourite hobby!
So anyway, I love this guy's dam, she's produced some really strong foals in the past and I think she's a genuine producer, and this guy was purchased at auction so it would seem she's stamped her mark again. He's got the genes to make it in the GB market, his longevity is probably just the right amount for me, and his peak cross tips towards strong - I love my two year olds these days, so that's another tick in my book!

As someone who has been trying to breed good quality stbs for a few years now I can't help but pick one of my stbs for this. My favourite this year was hard to pick but i couldn't ignore this girl Desert Opal a plain looking filly from a trader stallion and homebred dam but digging deeper into her genes she has really impressed me with her performance genes which consist of mostly excellents, I am hoping that this will help improve upon her stat genes which are looking more on the average side. With both of her parents reaching PM I am hoping she follows in their footsteps and helps me continue my quest of improving my stb lines.

Sticking with my theme of stbs, i couldn't pass by this colt Roanfall, not only is he one of my favourite colours at the moment (roan) he has an impressive bloodline and genes to match. His sire has proven himself in the breeding shed with an AFP of 42, I am hoping that this little dude has the potential to match his genes. I look forward to watching his career and hope that he can earn the points to pass on those genes to future generations!

Stock have always been my fun breed and this year I was over the moon when Catch You On The Rebound was foaled. He's the second foal of one of my favorite little SS mares and I really cannot wait for him to glow up and eventually hit the track. I'm hoping he'll be as promising as his half brother and both will be as fun to race as their mother!

Oh wow, I absolutely adore this little guy, Son Of The Sky. Impeccably bred, flashy and overall strong genetics he's got a nice bright future. His sire is a first season freshman, and by the looks of it has already started laying out a great legacy for his foals. Hopefully this handsome fellow turns heads on the track for you and can be a stand out in the stallion barn in the future!

VF Lemetta is my girl to watch this coming year. She's the second to last baby out of my superstar SS stud, Tinsel and she's got hidden champ under all that cream! As one of the foundation mares in my new superior creams breeding program, I'm hoping she lives up to her other siblings from her sire. Her dam's a type III and he's cloaked and legendary so obviously I have high hopes for her.

Girl, you know I'm stalking dat silver boy FHF To Be Toffee like nobody's business. I have a personal vested interest since this kid is out of my sire AND a color puff. The dam's other colt maxed high so I'm hoping this fellow follows the pattern. He's got great racing genes to do something on the track and I'm pretty sure I bought a partnership with him the day he was born lol. Fingers crossed!

It was hard to pick one yearling since I love all of mine so much! I have to say my favorite is my first amber foal-a colt out of the silver SIP+ stud "Dream Phemeral". Merciless And Phenomenal I was blessed by the FFH breeding gods with not only a colt but an AMBER colt. He is my first one of that color! His dam has all E/O performance genes except for her conformation which is good. The colt who is now named "Merciless and Phenominal" has almost all E/O stats for his performance genes. He is also dual surfaced but is speed dominant. He is 75% select and has SS horses on both sides of his pedigree. I'm hoping I can set him up for a good career, and he already has his genetic distinction. So fingers crossed! Merciless And Phenomenal

I didn't have to look very long at Valinor Farm's yearlings to realize I had already purchased a partnership on this yearling a while back! Smoke Trick is a STUNNING smoky cream colt. I bought a partnership on him as soon as I saw him. Don't be fooled though, his color was not the reason for my partnership purchase. He has incredible genetics and is dual surfaced! He's sired by The Meddler (who is sired by SS SIP Platinum stud Chevelle). I can't wait to see him on the track, but more so I hope VF decides to stand him at stud!

I was torn between two of my yearlings for a while, but I think ultimately I have to give it to Bee Golden. He's the first foal out of my first SS mare, Stings Like Honey, and I crossed her to my first stud, Golden Feathers. While their foal may not have gotten his silver, I adore buckskins as they are, and the four high whites [well, three and a half] and blaze are the best icing on that cake! I'll be honest, the fact that he came out with less than amazing stat genes almost makes me more excited, lol - sometimes I feel like they need to balance the scales with less than stellar genes in order to come out with a great birth potential! Of course, I won't know until Y53, but I have really high hopes for this guy. Even with Fair conformation, I think he's got a great shot, especially considering the versatile distances.

It was a little too easy to pick one of your yearlings, smakie! Gold Velvet is by my stud Frosty Gold, so of course I have to choose her as my favorite from your barn. Frosty is one of what I think of as my "learning curve studs"; he's from a time where I was still really struggling to figure out racing (and wasn't asking for help nearly enough!); he didn't get his PM, but due to that not being his fault at all I ultimately decided to stand him at stud anyway. Your mare was one of the more "balanced" matches I accepted to him - not a ton of genes to fix, but not flawless either. While it's sad to see that a couple of negative anomalies probably hit her, ultimately I still have hopes she'll make you proud as a racer and, further down the line, in the breeding shed!

Prime has been broken and has not been declining at all for several game years. As a result, most horses have substantially more Prime than should be appropriate. Rather than setting all horses to what they should have, horses 5 and older will temporarily lose Prime twice as fast to accommodate.
